The new Lighthouse and Compass Leagues for U12 and U13 players, previously known as the Premier League and Championship League. The new league structure has been developed with player development as the central priority, ensuring an appropriate balance of competitve challenge, growth opportunities and developmental support.
Two tiers allow players to develop at the right pace:
Lighthouse League - for players at a higher stage of development
Compass League - for players building fundamentals
Monthly roster adjustments allow flexibility to adjust player placement so everyone is appropriately challenged
Divisions (8 total):
U12 Boys: Lighthouse & Compass
U12 Girls: Lighthouse & Compass
U13 Boys: Lighthouse & Compass
U13 Girls: Lighthouse & Compass
Team registration guidelines: Clubs may enter one Lighthouse team per age/gender and multiple Compass teams.
Season: May to mid-August
Scores: Tracked for tournament seeding, but not published
Rising Stars Tournament (late August):

Open to non-league club teams
Format: 9v9 (including goalkeeper)
U13: FIFA Laws (modified for team & goal size)
U12: 2025 small-sided rules
Game length: 60 minutes (max. 2 games/day/team)
Substitutions: Unlimited at any stoppage
Playing time: Aim for 50% minimum per player across the season
Player development: All players should experience all positions, including goalkeeper
Size: 12-18 players (ideal = 14)
Initial rosters: Due 7 days before first game
Movement rules:
Compass to Lighthouse: Unlimited call-ups allowed
Lighthouse to Compass: Not permitted
New rosters effective the 1st of the following month
Final adjustment before Rising Stars roster deadline
No movement allowed during Rising Stars tournament
System: All roster changes managed in RAMP
Compass League = “Direction” developing foundational skills
Lighthouse League = “Guidance” navigating the game at higher levels
Rising Star Tournament = showcasing growth and potential
