Participants in She CAN Coach receive:
-
Free access to online modules from Canada Soccer’s grassroots coach-education curriculum (e.g. Active Start; FUNdamentals; Learn to Train; Soccer for Life).
-
Financial support (via the participating club) to attend at least one in-person practical coaching workshop — or to attend a “Regional Coach Education Weekend” (all-women environment) at no cost.
-
Access to a national support network: exclusive content, virtual webinars led by sport experts, mentorship, and guidance navigating coach certification.
-
Inclusion in the wider effort of safe and inclusive soccer: coaches also are supported in completing “Safe Sport Roster” training (e.g. ethics, Respect in Sport, and other safety modules) to create welcoming environments.
Coaches are usually asked to complete at least one of the grassroots modules and aim to reach “Trained Status” in at least one course within the program’s timeline. Canada Soccer
